(PRODUCT)Red iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus
Apple has added a new colour variant to its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus series. It has launched (PRODUCT)Red iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Special Editions which features a bright red finish. Moreover, the smartphones will be available for 128GB and 256GB variant across 40 countries. The sale will be both online and via retailers starting from Friday, March 24.
The smartphone will be available for purchase in India starting April and the 128GB Red iPhone 7 Plus will cost Rs.82,000.Moreover, no official prices are given by the company for other iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models.
“Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products, from the original iPod nano (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition all the way to today’s lineup of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.
Apple has in the past come up with many(PRODUCT)Red devices like the Beats Solo 3 Wireless on-Ear Headphones, the iPhone 7 smart Battery case etc. Now the Special Edition iPhone has joined the(PRODUCT)Red category.
There is a partnership between Apple and (Red). A part of sales of Apple (PRODUCT)Red devices is contributed to the AIDS research. The Red iPhone Special Editions would contribute to fund the global fight against AIDS.
Moreover, Apple has doubled the storage capacity in iPhone SE 16GB and 64GB variants to 32GB and 128GB but the prices remains same. These will be also available starting March 24 with a starting price tag of $399(Around Rs.26500).
