iPhone 8 Design and Display:

From the front iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 are indistinguishable. When we contacted many people, all of them said iPhone 8 is very similar to iPhone 7 in terms of design from the front. Differences between the designs arise when we look at the back. iPhone 8 has a glass back. Apple says it has used the “Most Durable Glass ever in a Smartphone”.During the testing, we dropped the iPhone 8 from a table with two feet height. The phone survived. It weighs 148 grams and all body glass offers excellent grip. In the past ten days of usage, we have not seen any scratches while putting in and out of the pocket.

In the box, you will get Lightning EarPods, a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter, a 5W charger, a USB Type-A to Lightning cable, phone and some reading manuals.

There are no changes in the size of the iPhone 8 to its predecessor. Moreover, the screen resolution, brightness, contrast ratio are all same as spotted on the iPhone 7. There is only True Tone Technology extra in the smartphone.

According to Apple, “True Tone technology automatically adjusts white balance to match the light around you. For a better viewing experience in all kinds of environments.”

iPhone 8 Performance, Battery:

iPhone 8 is powered by the Apple’s Latest A11 Bionic chip. The Apple A10 Fusion chip had a four-core chip with two high-performance cores and two energy efficient cores but only one pair could be active at a time. The A11 Bionic chip, on the other hand, has six-cores which include four high-performance cores which are up to 70% faster than the previous generation and two performance cores which are up to 25% faster than the previous generation cores. It is the first hexacore chip by Apple and all the cores work at same time.iPhone 8 can handle anything you throw at them easily. Everything works smoothly without any lags.

The glass back on the iPhone 8 is not just for design. It is present due to a major highlight in the smartphone which is wireless charging. Apple has come up with Qi wireless charging options which means you don’t need to plug in the cable for charging the smartphone. In terms of battery life, the experience on the iPhone 8 was similar to that on its predecessor which is iPhone 7. When we were doing video tests on the iPhone 8, the smartphone clocked around 8 hours.

iPhone 8 Camera:

Nowadays, people before buying a smartphone check the camera. The camera is one of the key highlights for a smartphone. iPhone 8 has several upgrades to its camera when compared to its predecessor.

The specifications on the iPhone 8 camera are same as on the iPhone 8 but Apple says the new iPhone has a larger and faster sensor, deeper pixels etc. The A11 Bionic Chip includes brand new Apple-designed image signal processor which helps in taking better HDR photo shots and faster autofocus in low light. The iPhone 8 has High-Efficiency Image File Format (HEIF) and High-Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) container for photos and videos.HEIF is a new file format and your images will not be stored in JPG’s or any other format. Low Light photography is improved as compared to the iPhone 7.

iPhone 8 is an incremental upgrade over iPhone 7 in terms of processor, wireless charging etc. But if you own an iPhone 7, there is no worth to upgrade to the iPhone 8. Hope you were able to remove your confusion through this iPhone 8 Review.
