RX 450h, LX 450d And ES 300h
Lexus has finally made its debut in India with launch of three new cars which are Lexus RX 450h Hybrid SUV, LX 450d and ES 300h Hybrid Sedan. Lexus is luxury vehicle division owned by Japanese Automaker Toyota. The RX 450h is a Hybrid SUV available in two variants and the price lies between Rs.1.07-1.09 crore. The ES 300h Hybrid Sedan has a price tag of Rs.55.27 lakh. All the prices are Ex Showroom, Delhi. Moreover, as per the company, the price of LX 450d will be revealed later.
Lexus LX 450d
The LX 450d is a version which distinguishes Toyota’s Land Cruiser LC200 which has same basic structures etc. This car comes with all the luxuries that a person wants. It has power driven by 4.5 litre diesel engine with maximum of 272hp, same as on LC200. There is huge space, excellent comfort and smooth off-road ability. The major difference between LC200 and LX 450d is that the latter has more luxury and stunning interior. Finally, the price of this model will come later as the company says.
Lexus ES 300h Hybrid Sedan
This car is having similar looks and is based on Toyota’s Camry Hybrid. Lexus ES 300h is more expensive than Toyota Camry. It comes with Lexus’ signature ‘razor blade’ grille and excellent interior. The rivals of this car can be BMW 5 series, Audi A6 etc. ES 300h has a 2.5 litre, four-cylinder petrol engine, CVT gearbox and churns out maximum of 200hp. This car has 17-inch alloy wheels. In addition, it has a front wheel drive system, LED headlamps etc.
Lexus RX 450h Hybrid SUV
Lexus RX 450h is a mid range luxury SUV with rivals like Audi Q5, Mercedes Benz GLC. Due to its whopping price tag, it also enters in competition with Porsche Macan. This car has been launched in two variants with prices between Rs.1.07- 1.09 crore. It is a five seater SUV and if we talk about its looks, has creases, cuts etc all over the body. For the engine, it comes with 3.5-litre V6 engine along with electric motor, a CVT gearbox and maximum power of 308hp. It has 18-inch wheels along with LED fog lamps. Moreover, Inside gets a 8-inch infotainment system with navigation support and also comes with 12 speaker audio system. In addition, other features include Rain sensing wipers, Auto on/off headlamps etc.
Finally, Lexus came to the world around 25 years ago and has sold over 1 million hybrid cars worldwide. Lexus dealerships in India totals to four; one each in Mumbai and Bangalore and two in Delhi.
